Gaspé Historic Sites & Interpretive Centres
Officially recognized as a UNESCO World Heritage Site in 1999, this national park in Quebec possesses the world's foremost collection of Devonian era fish-fossils. The site is a testament to the evolution of fish from water dwellers to four-legged creatures.
Magasin Hyman (Hyman Store) is a former general store that has been recreated so visitors can see what the ship was like circa 1920. There are exhibits on each floor, including in the cellar, so visitors have a lot to explore.
Centre d'interprétation des pêches et Moulin des Plourde (Plourde Mill and Fishing Interpretive Centre) educates visitors on the history of fishing and gives samples of fresh seafood. Guests can also learn about the Plourde Mill, the last steam-driven mill in the area.
