The Giant Omelette Get-Together TBA Legend has it that the origin of this unique event dates back to Napoleonic times when the general ordered a giant omelette be made to feed his troops. Today, five towns including three in France, one in New Caledonia and Granby, celebrate the Giant Omelette Get-Together. 5000 eggs are used to make the omelette which is shared among the townspeople.
