    Cradle of Kamouraska

This site was the first settlement along the south St.Lawrence until an earthquake in 1790 forced inhabitants to move to the present Kamouraska town site. There is still a chapel here, as well as information panels that educate visitors on the history of the site. The original settlement also featured a second church and a cemetery.
